Music plays a huge part in my writing. I can’t describe what a good song does to my frame of mind. As an extension my characters speak to me in music. They have their favorites, they let it be known what mood their in and what they want to hear pumping through my headphones as they tell their stories. This has led me to create playlists for my books. Each of them are distinctive, some will have a few songs and some will have a lot. I have all of these songs downloaded on my iPod and jam accordingly. Our tastes are eclectic. From R&B to Rock to Easy Listening and everything in between, I get lost in these songs and they help me tell my characters’ stories.
